About Dr. Freddy Kaye
Dr. Freddy Kaye has maintained a busy private practice for over 30 years. He is an expert in weight-loss and nutritional counseling. Over three decades, he has helped thousands of individuals adopt a healthier lifestyle, has seen what works and what doesn’t, and has obtained a sincere appreciation for the challenges people typically face when trying to lose weight. His expertise goes far beyond theory and training and into the realities of life.
Dr. Kaye received a Bachelor’s Degree from Tulane University, a Masters Degree in Nutrition and Food Science, and in 1980, he completed a Ph.D. in Education from Florida State University, specializing in Lifelong Learning and Nutrition Education for Adults.
Dr. Kaye’s research on weight control and behavior modification was published in 1982 in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, and he has frequently been interviewed for magazines and news publications. For over twenty-five years, Dr. Kaye has been on the faculty of the Family Practice Residency Program of Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, instructing resident physicians in diet therapy.
He has also taught nutrition as an Adjunct Professor at Florida A&M University. While a member of The American Dietetic Association, he has lectured to many health and professional organizations and has been an invited guest speaker for various conferences. Dr. Kaye has also appeared on numerous television talk shows and has been interviewed on CNN.
